Valerie Ogden serves as Optima Independent Lead Instructional Coach. Her commitment to lifelong learning drives her to seek self-understanding and emotional development both professionally and personally. As a dynamic and vibrant educator, Valerie is passionate about cross-cultural teaching and fostering inquiry among students and adults.
With 15 years of experience in education, Valerie has worked with diverse age groups and grade levels. She holds a Master of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from the State University of New York College at Buffalo, as well as an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Dayton. Valerie’s passion for teaching led her overseas, where she taught at two international schools before returning to the US.
As a lifelong learner, Valerie actively engages in various learning opportunities, ranging from Education Law to Leading Learning. In her leisure time, she enjoys staying active and exploring new places. Valerie currently resides in Scottdale, Georgia, with her husband and their beloved golden retrievers.
